Leadership

Subcommittee Recruitment

Subcommittees exist to implement the strategic initiatives and actions of the GIP. Subcommittees are chaired/co-chaired by members of the Steering Committee who report back to the Steering Committee on activities and progress. Participation on a Subcommittee will help professionals within academic medicine grow and learn in their professional roles and develop their leadership capacities. Subcommittee members actively participate in hour-long monthly conference calls and are assigned follow up tasks between each call that could require anywhere from 1–3 hours of time per month. Some months there is no work required. Attendance and participation in annual in-person meeting is encouraged.

If you are interested in learning more about serving on a Subcommittee, please contact Heather Sacks at hsacks@aamc.org or Katie Beale at kbeale@aamc.org.
