Feb. 26: Senate Hearing on Alzheimer’s Biomedical Research Outlook
2 p.m.; 106 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the economic impact of Alzheimer’s disease and the state of Alzheimer’s prevention and treatment research. Among other witnesses, NIH Director Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D., will testify along with National Institute on Aging Director Richard Hodes, M.D., and National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke Director Story Landis, Ph.D.

Feb. 27: House Hearing on Emergency Medical Countermeasures Enterprise
10 a.m.; 2358-C Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee will hold a hearing to discuss the public health emergency medical countermeasures enterprise. Witnesses include individuals from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).
