May 20-21: ACTPCMD Meeting

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry (ACTPCMD) will meet to hear remarks from several HRSA officials, finalize the committee’s 10th report on interprofessional education, and consider topics for the committee’s 11th report, among other items. The final agenda will be posted on the ACTPCMD Web site.

May 21: House VA Subcommittee to Mark Up Health Legislation
10 a.m.; 334 Cannon House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Veterans’ Affairs Health Subcommittee will mark up draft bills on integrated mental health care for veterans and accountability, as well as four bills that have been introduced.

May 21: House Subcommittee Hearing on Medicare Reform
10 a.m.; 1100 Longworth House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing to review policies that modify beneficiary cost-sharing within the Medicare program. This hearing will be the first in a series of Ways and Means hearings exploring Medicare reform.

May 21: House Appropriations Markup of MilCon-VA Spending Bill
11 a.m.; 2359 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Appropriations Committee will consider the FY 2014 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs spending bill, as well as subcommittee budget allocations for FY 2014.
