March 18: House Hearing on Sustainability of Entitlement Programs
4 p.m.; 2322 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing to discuss the fiscal landscape for Medicare and Medicaid and why improving the fiscal health and sustainability of the programs is critical to improving the level of access to quality care for seniors and vulnerable citizens. The hearing will feature testimony from Paul Van de Water, Ph.D., with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, among others.

March 19: House Hearing on Management Challenges at HHS
10 a.m.; 2358-C Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee will hold an oversight hearing to discuss management challenges within agencies under its jurisdiction. Daniel Levinson, J.D., inspector general, will testify on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

March 20: Senate Finance Hearing on Reforming the Delivery System
10 a.m.; 215 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing entitled, “Reforming the Delivery System: The Center on Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.” The hearing will feature testimony from Richard Gilfillan, M.D., director, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

March 20: House Hearing on How HIT Benefits Patients
10 a.m.; 2123 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing entitled, “Health Information Technologies: How Innovation Benefits Patients.” Witnesses to be announced.
