March 5: House Oversight Hearing Featuring Health, Research Agencies
10 a.m.; 2358-C Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee will hold an oversight hearing for various Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies. The subcommittee will hear testimony from National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D.; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Tom Frieden, M.D., M.P.H.; Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Director Carolyn Clancy, M.D.; Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) Director Richard Gilfillan, M.D.; and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Administrator Mary Wakefield, Ph.D., R.N.

March 5: Ways and Means Hearing on Tax Provisions in ACA
11 a.m.; 1100 Longworth House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Subcommittee on Oversight of the Committee on Ways and Means will hold a hearing on the tax provisions in the Affordable Care Act (ACA), in particular, the status of implementation of key tax provisions; compliance issues associated with the tax provisions and accompanying regulations; and the economic effects of the provisions.

March 6: House Hearing on Sustainability of Entitlement Programs
10:15 a.m.; 2322 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing entitled, “Saving Seniors and Our Most Vulnerable Citizens from an Entitlement Crisis.” Witnesses to be announced. The hearing will also be available via webcast.

March 7-8: MedPAC Meeting
TBD; 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) will hold a public meeting March 7-8. When available, MedPAC will solicit comments on the agenda via its Web site.
