Feb. 26: Senate Hearing on Long-term Budget and Economic Outlook

The Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing to discuss the budget and economic outlook for fiscal years 2013 through 2023. The committee will hear testimony from Robert Greenstein, Ph.D., president, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP); Douglas Holtz-Eakin, Ph.D., president, The American Action Forum; and Douglas Elmendorf, Ph.D., director, Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

Feb. 27: E&C Hearing on Preventing Waste, Fraud and Abuse in Health Care
10:15 a.m.; 2123 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Energy and Commerce (E&C) Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing entitled, “Fostering Innovation to Fight Waste, Fraud and Abuse in Health Care.” The hearing also will be available via webcast.

Feb. 27: Hearing on Reducing Federal Travel and Conference Spending
1:30 p.m.; 2247 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Federal Workforce, U.S. Postal Service and the Census will hold a hearing to discuss reducing federal travel and conference spending.
