March 20: House Appropriations Hearing on NIH Budget

The House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies will hold a hearing on the fiscal year (FY) 2013 budget for NIH. The subcommittee will hear testimony from Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D, director, National Institutes of Health and Thomas Insel, M.D., director, National Institute of Mental Health, and acting director, National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences.

The House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government will hear testimony from Jeffrey Zientz, acting director, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), on the president’s proposed FY 2013 budget. The hearing will also be available via webcast.
