Te4Q Part 1

While Teaching for Quality (Te4Q) started as a faculty development program designed to train faculty how to teach quality improvement and patient safety (QI/PS), it quickly became apparent that there was a need to train more faculty in the basics of QI/PS.

Te4Q Part 1, a program within the AAMC's Educating for Quality service, is designed to provide clinicians and clinician-educators with the basics of QI/PS in an interactive format. Commonly referred to as the "QI/PS Boot Camp", Te4Q Part 1 introduces faculty to key QI/PS concepts using educational techniques that may then be applied in the clinical learning environment. Examples of topics covered include aim statement creation, QI measurement, root cause analysis, stakeholder analysis, and diagnostic error, among others.
