June 21: Senate Appropriations Subcommittee Hearing on VA FY 2018 Budget

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies will hold a hearing on the FY 2018 budget request for the Department of Veterans Affairs. VA Secretary David Shulkin, MD, will testify.

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies will hold a hearing on the FY 2018 budget request for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Witnesses include: NIH Director Francis Collins, MD, PhD; NIH National Cancer Institute Acting Director Douglas Lowy, MD; NIH National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci, MD, and NIH National Institute on Drug Abuse Director Nora Volkow, MD, among others.
