June 7: House VA Hearing on VA and Academic Affiliations
4:15 p.m.; 334 Cannon House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Veterans Affairs Committee will hold a hearing to examine the relationship between the VA and Academic Affiliations. AAMC Chief Health Care Officer Janice Orlowski, M.D., MACP, will testify.

June 7: NACNEP Committee Meeting

The National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice (NACNEP) will meet to advise the Health and Human Services Secretary and Congress on policy issues related to the Title VIII programs administered by the HRSA Bureau of Health Workforce Division of Nursing, including nurse workforce supply, education and practice improvement.

June 8: Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Hearing on Legislation to Improve Medicare

The House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing on legislation to improve and sustain the Medicare Program. A witness list will be made available on the committee’s website.

The House Education and the Workforce Committee will holda hearing to discuss consequences of the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Overtime Rule on workers, students, nonprofits and small businesses. A witness list will be available on the committee’s website.
