The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT) Policy Committee will meet via webinar to discuss recommendations on a policy framework for the development and adoption of a nationwide health information infrastructure, including standards for the exchange of patient medical information.

The House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee will hold a hearing to discuss the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) fiscal year (FY) 2016 budget. OMB Director Shaun Donovan will testify.

The House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the Health and Human Services (HHS) budget request for fiscal year (FY) 2017. HHS Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell is expected to testify.

The Senate Special Committee on Aging will hold a hearing on issues and trends with the use opioids among seniors.

Feb. 25: House Appropriations Labor-HHS Subcommittee Hearing on HHS Budget

The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and related services will hold a hearing on the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Budget Request for FY 2017. HHS Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell is expected to testify.
