We are pleased to present the webinar "Assessing Financial Need Using the AAMC Socioeconomic Status Indicators (E01, E02)", recorded November 11, 2015.
This webinar provides background on the SES disadvantaged indicators available through AMCAS that medical schools can use as a tool to identify applicants who may come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. The indicators are also used for putting application information in context as part of a holistic review process. This webinar specifically addresses why the indicators were developed, demonstrate how they are useful by providing examples of use related to packaging financial aid and conclude with a discussion on the importance of early identification of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
