Nov. 14: Senate Committee Hearing on Hurricane Recovery Efforts
9:30 am; 366 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources will hold a hearing titled, “Hearing on Hurricane Recovery Efforts in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.” The purpose of this hearing is to provide oversight of hurricane recovery efforts in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold a full committee hearing titled, “Gene Editing Technology: Innovation and Impact.”

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform will hold a hearing titled, “Regulatory Reform Task Forces Check-In: Part II.” Among the witnesses scheduled to testify is Charles Keckler, associate deputy secretary, Department of Health and Human Services.

The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold a full committee hearing titled, “Encouraging Healthy Communities: Perspective from the Surgeon General.”

Nov. 15: House Appropriations Hearing on VA EHR Oversight
10 am; 2362-A Rayburn Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies will hold an oversight hearing on the “Veterans Affairs Electronic Health Record.”

Nov. 15: Senate Appropriations Hearing on Opioid Prescribing at the VA
2:30 pm; 124 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies will hold a hearing on “VA Efforts to Prevent and Combat Opioid Over Medication.”
