March 10: Health IT Policy Committee Meeting
9:30 a.m.; 10 Thomas Circle N.W., Washington, D.C.
The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT) Policy Committee will meet to discuss recommendations to the National Coordinator for Health IT on a policy framework for the development and adoption of a nationwide health information infrastructure, including standards for the exchange of patient medical information.

March 10: Senate HELP Committee Hearing on Medical Innovation
10 a.m.; 430 Dirksen Senate Office Building
The Senate Health Education Labor & Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold a hearing to discuss continuing the nation’s leadership in medical innovation for patients. National Institutes of Health Director, Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D., and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner, Margaret Hamburg, M.D., will testify.

March 17: House VA Subcommittee Hearing on Higher Education Opportunities
2 p.m.; 334 Cannon House Office Building
The House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity will hold a hearing to review higher education opportunities for the newest generation of veterans. Witness testimony will be posted to the committee’s website when available.
