A fun and engaging fundraiser that brought together the entire Johns Hopkins community for a great cause.

Judges said:
Innovative solution to engage employees and raise money. Even with the changing of the date, the event was still successful.

What prompted you to take this on?
The idea behind the event was to motivate employees to donate to the United Way in a way that was out of the ordinary.

What was the most successful part of the project?
The enthusiasm from employees and good-natured competition among donors and dancers helped to raise over $52,000 for the inaugural event.

What is one thing you learned from this experience?
The creative and compelling communications added to the excitement of the fundraiser and helped garner a standing-room only audience at the event. We’re aiming to incorporate these methods in all of our internal communication campaigns to bring a fresh approach to projects and campaigns.
