June 3, 5: Senate CJS Appropriations Markup
11 a.m.; 192 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (CJS) will mark up its FY 2015 appropriations bill. The full committee is expected to mark up the bill on Thursday, June 5.

June 5-6: NIH Advisory Committee to the Director Meeting
9 a.m.; 1 Center Drive, Bethesda, Md.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Advisory Committee to the Director will meet to discuss the director’s report, NIH updates, and other pending business.

June 9-10: Bioethics Meeting
9 a.m.; 1518 Clifton Road Northeast, Atlanta, Ga.
The Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues will hold its 17th meeting; agenda items include a discussion on the BRAIN Initiative and ongoing work in neuroscience.

June 10, 12: Senate Labor-HHS Subcommittee Mark Up

The Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee (Labor-HHS) is tentatively scheduled to mark up its FY 2015 spending bill June 10, followed by the full committee mark up on June 12.

June 10: HIT Policy Committee Meeting
9:30 a.m.; Teleconference/Webinar
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Policy Committee will meet via webinar to discuss recommendations to the National Coordinator for Health IT on a policy framework for the development and adoption of a nationwide health information infrastructure, including standards for the exchange of patient medical information.
