Central Group on Educational Affairs (CGEA)

The purpose of the CGEA is to encourage communication among members and to provide a forum for discussion of medical education matters. It shall also serve in a resource and advisory capacity to the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA) Steering Committee and the AAMC. The CGEA's primary concern is the process of medical education in the settings in which it takes place. The CGEA is one of four regions that comprise the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA).

The CGEA seeks to promote scholarship in medical education and advance the community of scholarship within the Central region. A maximum award of $7,000 is available for multiple-institution projects and $5,000 for single-institution projects. Consistent with the requirements of scholarship, all funded projects must be collaborative and investigatory in nature, and their results must be made public, available for peer review, and freely available for others to build upon.

Deadline for submission is September 30, 2018.

The full call for Collaborative Grant Proposals can be found here.
