Central Group on Educational Affairs (CGEA)

The purpose of the CGEA is to encourage communication among members and to provide a forum for discussion of medical education matters. It shall also serve in a resource and advisory capacity to the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA) Steering Committee and the AAMC. The CGEA's primary concern is the process of medical education in the settings in which it takes place. The CGEA is one of four regions that comprise the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA).

CGEA Mini-Grant Proposals

The 2015 CGEA Call for Mini-Grant Proposals is now closed.

The Central Group on Educational Affairs (CGEA) seeks to promote scholarship in medical education and advance the community of scholarship within the Central region.   Priority will be given to multi-institutional projects that foster collaborations among CGEA institutions or sections (i.e., UGME, GME, CME and MESRE).  Consistent with the requirements of scholarship, the results of these projects must be made public, available for peer review, and available for others to build upon.
