Central Group on Educational Affairs (CGEA)

The purpose of the CGEA is to encourage communication among members and to provide a forum for discussion of medical education matters. It shall also serve in a resource and advisory capacity to the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA) Steering Committee and the AAMC. The CGEA's primary concern is the process of medical education in the settings in which it takes place. The CGEA is one of four regions that comprise the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA).

2018-19 Leadership and Education Development Certificate Program (LEAD) Call for Applications

Applications are now open for new LEAD Fellows for the 2018-19 national program. Designed for early to mid-career faculty, this one-year, cohort-based program provides a firm foundation in the best practices and theoretical models of effective educational leadership that are key to advancing medical education at all levels. Beginning in 2018, LEAD will be delivered as a national program bringing together new and aspiring leaders from across the country.

The deadline for applications is November 30, 2017. Applicants will be notified of decisions in January 2018. Visit the AAMC LEAD home page for more information.
