Annotated Bibliography of Journals for Educational Scholarship 2017 

This update to the Annotated Bibliography of Journals for Educational Scholarship was coordinated by the NEGEA in collaboration with members from the CGEA, SGEA, and WGEA.  The Annotated Bibliography is provides scholars and researchers with detailed information about the topics, types of manuscripts, and audiences for over 60 journals that publish health professions education manuscripts.  This bibliography also includes repositories of educational materials. Review Criteria for Research Manuscripts 2nd Edition 

This monograph is a joint project of Academic Medicine and the MESRE section.  David Sklar writes in the introduction that this monograph “is intended to familiarize our reviewers, both new and experienced, with the purposes of review, approaches to or best practices for reviewing, and criteria for superlative research.”

 

Conducting Research in Health Professions Education: Academic Medicine Last Pages 2010-2016 

This e-book presents a collection of AM Last Pages that provides readers, particularly those who are new to scholarship and research in the health professions with a set of resources that introduce the principles of educational scholarship.

 

Research in Medical Education: A Primer for Students 2015 

This primer was written by members of the Organization of Student Representatives.  Similar to the e-book, “Conducting Research in Health Professions Education: Academic Medicine Last  Pages”, this monograph introduces the principles of educational research and scholarship.
