About Our Advocacy

Capitol building in Washington, DC

The AAMC regularly partners with and advocates before the federal government on behalf of academic medicine.

These efforts have been crucial in sustaining and increasing critical funding that supports the vitality of the nation’s medical schools and academic health systems and improves the health of all. Our advocacy helps to shape legislation and policy that affects health care delivery, research, education, equitable access to care, and more.
