Examining Long-Term Trends in Reported Tuition and Fees Revenues at U.S. Medical Schools (PDF)
This AAMC data snapshot was published in March 2024 as part of the former GBA and is being retained here as a professional development resource. This snapshot provides a trend analysis to examine how tuition and fees revenues have changed over time from FY 2001 through FY 2022 and, within this context, examines how state and parent institution support revenues have also changed over time. Second, it compares how public and private medical schools have reported recorded tuition and fees expenditures compared to respective revenues.

AAMC Faculty Salary Report
The annual AAMC Faculty Salary Report displays total compensation statistics for full-time medical school faculty broken out by degree, rank, department/specialty, medical school type, region, gender, and race/ethnicity. 

AAMC Report on the Compensation of the Dean’s Office Staff
This annual report provides compensation and responsibilities statistics for medical school chief officers in eight administrative areas at the senior associate/vice dean, associate dean, and assistant dean levels.

U.S. Medical School Revenues (Tables and Graphs)
These summary tables and graphs outline data from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME®) Part I-A Annual Medical School Financial Questionnaire administered by the AAMC.

This Excel-based report provides information on a number of salient dimensions about the organizational characteristics of medical schools.

Medical School Profile System (MSPS)
The MSPS, formerly known as the Institutional Profile System (IPS), was developed in 1972 to allow medical school administrators to perform intra- and inter-institutional comparisons, develop time-series data, and support accreditation activities. It enables users to view and create benchmarking reports, access surveys, and download data at their convenience.
