Year Two Questionnaire (Y2Q)

The 2017 Y2Q opened October 1. As of October 10, over 2,600 students have completed the Y2Q.

The AAMC administers the Medical School Year Two Questionnaire (Y2Q) annually to all active, second-year medical students. The online questionnaire asks second-year medical students to share their thoughts on a variety of topics, such as:

  • Learning climate
  • Adjustment to medical school
  • Future career plans

Student responses to the Y2Q are analyzed and presented in a national report. This information will help medical schools understand the climate and culture of medical education.

All Schools Summary Reports

The All Schools Summary Report presents national data from the 2016 Y2Q, combining student responses from all participating medical schools into a single report. Comparable data from the 2015 and 2014 surveys are included in the 2016 report.
