ERAS® for Medical Schools: Getting Started
Welcome to the ERAS® Program
The Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS®) streamlines the residency application process for applicants, their Designated Dean's Offices, Letter of Recommendation (LoR) authors and program directors. By providing applicants the ability to build and deliver their application and supporting materials individually or as a package to programs, the ERAS program provides an integrated and flexible solution to the residency application and documents distribution process.
As a new ERAS user, we want to give you the tools you need to quickly acclimate yourself.
- For new medical school staff:
It is important that you keep your contact and school information up to date in order to receive ERAS communications. If at any time your information changes, please be sure to update it directly in the Dean's Office WorkStation (DWS).
To update your information in the DWS:
Log in with your AAMC credentials.
Click on the new "Set Up" tab in the upper right-hand corner.
On the left-hand panel, please select "School Contacts" or "Dean and School Information" to update your information.
This information is stored privately for access by ERAS staff. Your data will not be shared with applicants.
