Find the AAMC Affinity Groups for You
Your work and interests may connect you to more than one professional community. Explore the AAMC’s 11 affinity groups and find the group — or groups — that fit you and your role.
Your work connects you to more than one part of academic medicine. AAMC affinity groups bring together professionals with similar roles and responsibilities to exchange ideas, help you meet peers who understand what you do, and find opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow.
While each group focuses on a distinct professional community, many of the topics, challenges, and interests they explore span multiple areas of academic medicine. You may find that one group aligns most closely with your professional role, while others offer valuable connections and perspectives on topics that matter to you.

Explore shared interests across groups
While each affinity group brings together professionals with similar roles, many important topics in academic medicine converge across a variety of careers and interests. For example, issues related to learner well-being, technology, leadership, or institutional strategy may be explored by multiple groups, each bringing a different professional perspective.
Your primary professional role may align with one group, but your interests don’t have to stop there. Exploring additional affinity groups can help you connect with colleagues in other areas, gain new perspectives, and discover opportunities to collaborate on shared challenges.
