Biomedical Research Advancement, Training, and Oversight Group
This community focuses on the biomedical research enterprise and connects faculty, staff, and administrative leaders who advance biomedical discovery, education and training, workforce development, oversight, and innovation within academic medicine. It focuses on fostering research excellence; supporting education and professional development for biomedical PhD students, MD-PhD students, and postdoctoral scholars; conflict of interest and addressing federal funding and oversight of research, including interactions between academia, industry, and government.

The Biomedical Research, Advancement, Training, and Oversight Group was established on July 1, 2026. All members of the former Group on Research, Education, and Training; Group on Research Advancement and Development; and Forum on Conflict of Interest will be enrolled in the new group.

Upcoming Events & Learning Offerings
2027 AAMC Biomedical Research Conference
The Biomedical Research Advancement, Training, and Oversight Group will convene in person for its 2027 conference. The program will feature a combination of plenary sessions addressing topics of broad relevance to the biomedical research community alongside concurrent, role-specific sessions designed to support targeted learning and discussion. Dedicated time will also be incorporated to facilitate networking among peers within similar roles.
