Figure 9 illustrates the percentage of matriculants by sex for each racial/ethnic group. Females were the majority of the Black or African American matriculants (60.8%) and Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander matriculants (60.9%). For White and Hispanic, Latino, or of Spanish Origin matriculants, there was near parity between males and females. The majority of American Indian or Alaska Native matriculants were male (56.4%).
