    Ethos 2020

    Ethos 2020
    Albert Einstein College of Medicine

Ethos 2020 serves as a central element of Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s stewardship and engagement efforts for donors to our COVID-19 response funds, our historically loyal leadership donors, and new prospects who have an interest in our mission. This narrative—in both print and digital form—features photos, quotes, and long-form stories from students and frontline clinical, research, and environmental team members fighting the pandemic. By highlighting these heroes, we portray a message of excellence, courage, and strength in the face of this unprecedented health crisis—as well as a demonstration of gratitude to Montefiore and Einstein’s key supporters who helped fuel their work. Additionally, this piece will act as a cultivation tool to introduce new prospects to our programs—ultimately, helping to inspire philanthropic support.

What was the most impactful part of your award-winning entry?
This piece commemorates one of the most equally unnerving and inspiring times for human health in recent history. By honoring the individuals who stepped up in remarkable ways, we honor a whole community that has grown stronger through adversity.

What is one thing you learned from this experience?
It is compelling and imperative to represent leadership voices from every level and sector of our institution in order to illustrate the core of our mission, our community, and our collective meaning—in a word, our ethos.

    What challenge did you overcome?
Without having access to our normal cultivation practices, including in-person campus tours, we leveraged Ethos 2020 as a tool to give donors an insider’s view and to introduce them to the people they support through a refreshing medium.
