Student Advising, Support, and Records Management Community

The Student Advising, Support, and Records (SASR) Management Community supports medical student success and well-being from matriculation to graduation, including providing academic and career advising, as well as managing student records and progression.

The community addresses topics such as:

  • Student support leadership.
  • Academic advising and counseling.
  • Transition to residency:
    • Support for residency application.
    • Career and specialty advising.
  • Professional identity formation.
  • Crisis management.
  • Away rotations support.
  • Management of student records, enrollment status, scheduling, credentialing, grading, and graduation requirements, as well as student tracking.
  • Compliance and regulatory processes oversight (FERPA).

The work of this Community of Practice is led by the SASR Committee.
