AAMC Survey of Resident/Fellow Stipends and Benefits
Data from the AAMC Survey of Resident/Fellow Stipends and Benefits are publically available to AAMC constituents and others with an interest in graduate medical education issues. The survey has been fielded annually since 1968. Institutions—either hospitals or medical schools—are instructed to complete the survey only if they issue the checks for resident stipends.
The data collected in this survey have been classified by the Association as confidential, which means that identified individual and institutional data will not be published or shared with other institutions or persons. Data for individual institutions are de-identified, and means are published only if the group includes five or more responding institutions.
Resident/Fellow Stipend Survey data are collected and reported in accordance with the U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission Statement of Antitrust Enforcement Policy in Health Care (1996).
