The PM Report is Penn Medicine’s daily inclusive email for staff, faculty, and students that was launched in 2021 in an effort to combat email fatigue and feature the most up-to-date, need-to-know clinical information, wellness resources, and spotlights on difference makers — employees, faculty, staff, and students who were making a difference within the health system or community. If our audience only had time to read a few emails, or even just one, The PM Report should be their main source of news.
What was the most impactful part of your entry?
The overall positive feedback that staff, faculty, and students continue to provide for The PM Report is the most impactful part. Whether it is through word of mouth, survey results, or analyzing open and click rates, our staff shapes and inspires what content and messaging we share.
What is one thing you learned from your entry/experience?
When writing and planning a systemwide communication like The PM Report, there is always a need to expect the unexpected — such as changes to COVID-19 protocols or breaking news — and to respond accordingly and adapt to quick changes that can best serve those who receive the communication.
