Dr. Selden, a 2023-2024 COD Fellow, currently serves as the Mario and Edith Campagna Chair of Pediatric Neurological Surgery and as professor of neurological surgery at the OHSU School of Medicine.

    Katherine Heilpern, MD, has been named president of Yale New Haven Hospital, effective March 11. Dr. Heilpern is the former chief operating officer of the Weill Cornell Division at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and served for 12 years as chair of the department of emergency medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Yale News further reported that the system will promote Pamela Sutton-Wallace, who previously served as interim president of Yale New Haven Hospital, to president of the entire system.

    The Foundation for Biomedical Research announced that James Allan, MD, MBA, has been named board chair. Dr. Allan is an associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School and is a practicing thoracic surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and at several of its community affiliates.

    Robert Golden, MD, announced that he will step down as dean and vice chancellor for medical affairs of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health once a successor is in place. Dr. Golden has served at the helm of the School of Medicine and Public Health since 2006.

    OHSU Health Systems CEO John Hunter, MD, will step down by June 30 or when a new CEO is hired, as the health system acquires Legacy Health and launches a search for a new health system CEO, according to an internal announcement from OHSU President Danny Jacobs, MD, MPH. Dr. Hunter has served as CEO of OHSU Health since 2017 and has been with the university since 2001. He will continue to serve as a faculty member in the Department of Surgery.
