    Shou-Ching Tang, MD, PhD, has been appointed associate dean for translational research and director of Phase I Clinical Trials Program at LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine and associate director for clinical research at the LSU-LCMC Cancer Center. Dr. Tang comes to LSU from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine where he served as the associate director for clinical and translational research at the Cancer and Research Institute, director of Phase I clinical trials and the Interdisciplinary Experimental Therapeutic Program, and chair of clinical leadership council for the cancer service line at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

    Yaron Tomer, MD, has been named the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, effective Oct. 2. Dr. Tomer is currently the Anita and Jack Saltz Chair in Diabetes Research, and professor and chair of the Department of Medicine at Einstein and Montefiore.

    Thomas Agresta, MD, has been named chair of the Department of Family Medicine at UConn Health and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine after serving in the interim department chair role. Dr. Agresta has been a member of the school of medicine faculty since 1995. In addition to his expertise in family medicine, he is also board certified in clinical informatics.

She is also the director of pediatric research and associate program director at the Massachusetts General Hospital Translational and Clinical Research Center, medical research officer at Massachusetts General Hospital, and associate chief for academic faculty development at Mass General for Children. Dr. Misra will succeed James Nataro, MD, PhD, MBA, who has served as chair since 2010.

Price announced Friday. Dr. Klotman’s appointment, effective July 1, follows a restructuring of the leadership model for Duke Health’s academic and clinical missions. As executive vice president for health affairs, Dr. Klotman will be the chief academic officer of Duke Health.
