Supports a funding level for the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that enables it to carry out its mission to protect and promote good health and to assure that research findings are translated into effective state, local and community programs.

Coalition for Health Funding

A nonprofit alliance of more than 60 national health organizations that works in a nonpartisan fashion to ensure that health discretionary spending remains highly visible as Congress and the Administration set federal budget priorities.  The AAMC is a founding member of the coalition.

Graduate Medical Education Advocacy Coalition

The AAMC leads an informal GME Advocacy Coalition of over 70 individual hospital, physician, and health care advocacy associations and societies focused on promoting graduate medical education. The Coalition meets via monthly conference calls and semi-annual meetings to strategize and mobilize around the pressing issues facing graduate medical education and health care workforce.

Coalition for National Science Funding

An alliance of over 125 organizations united by a concern for the future vitality of the national science, mathematics, and engineering enterprise. 

Confidentiality Coalition

Founded to advance effective patient confidentiality protections, this coalition is composed of a broad group of hospitals, medical teaching colleges, health plans, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, vendors of electronic health records, biotech firms, employers, health product distributors, pharmacy benefit managers and pharmacies, health information and research organizations, and others.

Foundation for Biomedical Research

An organization dedicated to improving human and veterinary health by promoting public understanding and support for humane and responsible animal research.

Friends of AHRQ

A voluntary coalition of more than 250 organizations that support the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality External Link (AHRQ).

Friends of HRSA

A non-profit and non-partisan alliance of more than 120 national organizations, collectively representing millions of public health and health care professionals, academicians and consumers. The member-organizations are strong partners in supporting the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) commitment to enhancing the health resources, workforce and infrastructure that lay the foundation for health care delivery in the United States.       

National Association for Biomedical Research (NABR)

This organization provides the unified voice for the scientific community on legislative and regulatory matters affecting laboratory animal research.

The NHSC Stakeholders

A coalition representing the multiple health professions, institutions, and underserved areas/populations that benefit from the program’s scholarship and loan repayment awards. The AAMC is the founding member and coordinates the more than 30 National Health Service Corps (NHSC) stakeholders. 

Student Aid Alliance

This coalition of higher education organizations supports aid programs to help students achieve their higher education goals without excessive debt. These programs include Pell Grants, the campus-based programs (SEOG, Federal Work-Study, and Perkins Loans), LEAP, Federal Student Loans, TRIO programs, GEAR UP, and graduate programs.

Washington Animal Research Network (WARN)

A coalition of Washington-based research advocates focused on federal policies related to the use of animals in research and education. AAMC is an active participant in the group, which is managed by the National Association for Biomedical Research (NABR), of which AAMC is a member.
