The AAMC submitted comments on June 20 to the Department of Education in response to a proposed rule on financial considerations for the completion of postsecondary education.

Among the comments provided to the agency, the AAMC raised concerns about the proposed changes related to gainful employment and the debt-to-earnings rate, financial value transparency reporting requirements, and administrative capability as it relates to the medical education experience, specifically regarding the geographic location of certain educational offerings.
