The AAMC joined other health care groups invested in the expansion of value-based care in a June 27 letter (PDF) to Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Ranking Member Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) in response to their issue paper on Medicare physician payment and chronic care [refer to Washington Highlights, May 24]. The groups applauded Wyden and Crapo’s bipartisan efforts and urged them to extend advanced alternative payment model incentives, sustain physician payment, and provide more opportunities for physicians and other health care providers to participate in alternative payment models.
The AAMC submitted a response (PDF) to the issue paper on June 12 [refer to Washington Highlights, June 21].
