Implementing Curricular and Institutional Climate Changes to Improve Health Care for Individuals Who Are LGBT, Gender Nonconforming, or Born with DSD: A Resource for Medical Educators. The Advisory Committee on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Sex Development authored this groundbreaking publication which offers the first evidence- and best practices-based recommendations to train physicians to assess and interact more effectively with patients who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), gender nonconforming (GNC), or born with differences of sex development (DSD). The report identifies 30 competencies medical school students should master to care for LGBT and DSD patients responsibly.
