Insight Blog
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Describe your blog.
Insight is Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's external blog.

Judges said:
Outstanding submission. Written with goals and measurements clearly related and meaningful. Innovative content and use of media addressing issues that matter to audiences targeted.

What prompted you to take this on?
We launched the blog to create a new channel to tell some of the inspiring stories we hear every day and to provide information about cancer that people could trust. And by doing so, we aimed to help people and raise the awareness of Dana-Farber, and its expertise.

What was the most successful part of the project?
Our ability to reach new audiences who were not necessarily familiar with Dana-Farber and provide people with accurate and reliable information about cancer and cancer research.

What is one thing you learned from this experience?
A successful blog is more than just good writing. It's about finding the content people want to read and optimizing social media to get that content to new audiences.
