How to Join the GFA Network

    Primary Representative
Each medical school dean and health system executive from a Council of Academic Health System Executives-member institution is invited to designate one individual to serve as the GFA Primary Representative. This representative should be a faculty or professional staff member with an administrative role in faculty affairs or faculty development. Eligible roles may include oversight of appointments, promotions, and tenure; faculty recognition programs; leadership and career development; mentoring initiatives; and faculty recruitment and retention efforts that ensures a broad range of skills, aspirations, and viewpoints. The Primary Representative serves as the institution’s main point of contact for all official GFA-related correspondence from the AAMC.

    Additional Representative
In addition to designated Primary Representatives, faculty and professional staff with roles in faculty affairs or faculty development at their institutions are also encouraged to join the GFA. Membership is open, and individuals may be nominated by their dean or CEO, or they may self-nominate.
