The Implementing PREview Scores in 2027 Medical School Admissions guide provides admissions officers and their committees with information about the development of the PREview exam and guidance for using scores in the admissions process.
The guide provides a detailed look at PREview exam design and scoring, as well as data about examinees and correlations between PREview scores and acceptance, progression, and nonacademic dismissal rates. This year's update also provides a new PREview scoring rubric to enhance score use, as well as information for adopting the exam and receiving scores. Posted June 2026.
PREview Score Performance Rubric
This PREview performance rubric is designed to help you understand how consistently examinees across PREview score ranges distinguish between effective and ineffective responses. The rubric describes general trends of examinee performance based on scoring patterns observed across thousands of test takers. Committees can use this rubric to understand how consistently an applicant shows effective judgement on the exam and how that may translate to real-life situations.
