The Great Brigham Playdate - Grown-up Fun Benefiting the Brigham’s Youngest Patients
    The Great Brigham Playdate

    The Great Brigham Playdate
    Brigham and Women's Hospital

The Great Brigham Playdate was a brand-new, non-traditional fundraiser supporting the core strength of the BWH – birthing and pregnancy. It was an “out-of-the-box” event; whimsical, fun, and intentionally aimed at mimicking a child’s playdate. The Boston Children’s Museum was transformed into a fun-filled, eye-popping extravaganza—just for grown-ups—with 12 exhibits spanning three floors of the museum being "adultified" with themed food and beverage in addition to games and activities.

What was the most impactful part of your award-winning entry?
Raised $625,000 for three key areas at BWH dedicated to improving the lives of our youngest patients and their families. Our “Born at the Brigham” moment celebrated BWH’s legacy and engaged grateful patient families.

What is one thing you learned from this experience?
This unique “non-gala” concept resonated in our city, which is flush with worthy charitable organizations and competing galas.

    What challenge did you overcome?
Starting a new event for areas of the hospital that did not have well-organized group of grateful patients.
