Leading others in academic medicine demands more than operational expertise — it requires the ability to align teams around shared goals, sustain trust through ongoing change, and navigate conflict with clarity and intention. Today’s managers, supervisors, and project leaders must balance evolving institutional priorities with the day-to-day realities of supporting people, fostering collaboration, and driving results in dynamic environments.

Empowering People and Teams is designed to help leaders meet these expectations by building the skills needed to strengthen team alignment, foster innovation and psychological safety, communicate effectively, and lead through change. Through this learning experience, participants gain practical strategies to support their teams and enhance their impact across their organizations.

    Who Should Attend?

This program is ideal for individuals serving in project lead, manager, or supervisor roles — whether you are an emerging leader, an informal influencer, or an experienced supervisor seeking to refine your team development approach. If you are responsible for guiding others and want to elevate your effectiveness, strengthen cohesion, and drive results through people, this program is designed for you.

    Upcoming Program

Empowering People and Teams will be delivered as a series of focused, high-impact virtual workshops. While each workshop may be taken individually, the curriculum is intentionally designed as a progressive series, and participants are strongly encouraged to enroll in all three workshops for the most comprehensive development experience.

    • Workshop 1: Leveraging Strengths and Differences — July 28 and 30, 2026
    • Workshop 2: Developing High-Performing Teams — Sep. 22 and 24, 2026
    • Workshop 3: Leading People — Feb. 9 and 11, 2027

Each workshop session runs from 1-4 p.m. ET.

    Registration and Fees

Registration for the 2026 workshops will open in the spring.

The registration fee for all three workshops is $1,800, or each workshop is $675. The fee does not include the optional CME fee.
