- AAMC Business Affairs, Planning, and Operations Conference: Every spring, the Planning and Operations Group meets with the AAMC Finance and Business Affairs Group, creating valuable opportunities for networking and shared exploration of issues across planning, strategy, operations, and finance. The call for proposals opens in the fall and is announced via the Planning and Operations Group newsletter and website.

Facilities Planning and Space Management Committee
The Facilities Planning and Space Management Committee convenes academic medicine leaders to share best practices in space planning and facilities management, including discussions and presentations at the group’s annual conference. Meeting monthly, the committee explores space utilization, hybrid environment consolidation, design innovations, construction planning, and space management software and develops surveys to support continuous learning.

The Strategic Planning and Management Committee advances effective strategic planning across academic medicine by communicating best practices, hosting webinars, and convening experts to support professional growth. It also monitors emerging issues, identifies useful tools and resources, and serves as a trusted hub for guidance on strategic management and environmental trends.

Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity Planning Committee
The Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity Planning Committee supports academic health systems in strengthening organizational resilience by sharing best practices, challenges, and resources related to emergency response and operational continuity. The committee focuses on the impact of emergencies on facilities and operations, while also developing a toolkit to guide institutions in their planning efforts. Constituents across roles and mission areas are encouraged to join.
Data-Driven Academic Medical Centers Committee
The Data‑Driven Academic Medical Centers Committee serves as a collaborative forum for sharing knowledge, resources, and ideas that strengthen data‑informed decision-making across academic health systems in support of their missions and strategic priorities. Led by representatives from the Finance and Business Affairs Group, the Technology and Data Group, and the Planning and Operations Group, this community is open to all AAMC constituents and engages members through monthly calls, shared resources, timely presentations, and contributions to ongoing initiatives.
