The Group on Research Advancement and Development (GRAND) and the Group on Institutional Planning (GIP) recognize the critical importance of robust emergency preparedness - particularly for the research enterprise. This webinar explored why and how academic medical centers should fully integrate research operations into institutional preparedness planning. Attendees learned to recognize the need for comprehensive emergency preparedness policies, articulate the value of including the research enterprise in institutional planning efforts, and identify practical elements and examples of effective policies that can be implemented locally.
