The pace of change in health care delivery models, advances in scientific knowledge and technology, and shifts in traditional revenue streams, demand re-imagination of the traditional approach to strategic planning at academic medical centers. Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), William Deming’s well known management model, essentially creates a data-driven approach to rapid and iterative planning and process improvement. CQI is a relatively new LCME accreditation requirement for medical schools and this webinar describes how this requirement is being designed to meet the institutional accreditation need and also inform strategic planning for operational efficiency and innovation in medical education.
