Jan. 31: Senate Finance Committee Hearing on Extenders and Tax Overhaul

The Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing titled “Extenders and Tax Reform: Seeking Long-Term Solutions.” The session will focus on efforts to find a long-term solution for the tax provisions that require frequent renewal, or “tax extenders.” The hearing will also evaluate what role tax extenders should play in the tax overhaul reform process.


Jan. 31: Health IT Meaningful Use Workgroup Meeting

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (HIT) Meaningful Use Workgroup will meet to discuss recommendations on how to define meaningful use in the short- and long-term; ways electronic health records (EHRs) can support meaningful use; and how providers can demonstrate meaningful use.
