The House passed a continuing resolution (H.R. 9770) on July 21 by a vote of 220-205. The measure would extend fiscal year (FY) 2026 funding levels, including funding for the Department of Health and Human Services, from the start of FY 2027 on Oct. 1 until Dec. 4. By extending current funding, the continuing resolution would delay final FY 2027 appropriations decisions until after the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
The measure now moves to the Senate for consideration.
