Reps. Rob Bresnahan (R-Pa.), Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), Tracey Mann (R-Kan.), and Lois Frankel (D-Fla.) on Oct. 9 introduced the AAMC-endorsed 340B Rebate Model Delay Act (H.R. 10770). The legislation would delay the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) 340B Rebate Model Pilot Program for two years, pushing its start date from Jan. 1, 2027 through the end of 2028.

The AAMC categorically opposes the use of rebate models in the 340B Drug Pricing Program and outlined its concerns with the proposed pilot program in a recent comment letter (PDF) and information collection request response (PDF) [refer to Washington Highlights, April 24].
