AAMC Chief Public Policy Officer Danielle Turnipseed, JD, MHSA, MPP, was named to the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics’ (NILE) 2025 Top Lobbyist list on Oct. 23. The competitive award recognizes exceptional government relations professionals who are highly regarded by colleagues and policymakers alike through a merit-based process.

The recognition specifically highlights individuals with exceptional innovation, advocacy skills, and thought leadership in their work. NILE Board Chair Paul Miller stated that, “Each year, NILE’s Top Lobbyist list shines a light on those who embody the very best of our profession — integrity, effectiveness, and leadership. … Their work underscores the important role ethical advocacy plays in shaping sound public policy and strengthening trust in our government."

Upon learning of her award, Turnipseed stated, “We communicate the interests of communities and important sectors to policymakers to ensure many voices and perspectives are heard. We connect the dots on complex issues and advocate for important resources and against policies detrimental to strengthening our society. I am proud to be a part of this community and for the work of my very dedicated and competent team.”
