    Dr. Magali Blanco holds a BA in Biology from Lewis & Clark College, an MS in Occupational and Environmental Exposure Science from the University of Washington (UW), and a PhD in Environmental Health from the UW. She has additional training in biostatistics, epidemiology, and data science, which she regularly applies to her research. Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (DEOHS) at UW, where her work centers on data-driven research in air pollution, environmental health, and health equity.

    Her K99/R00 award focuses on advancing our understanding of the connections between air pollution and brain health by examining exposure mixtures and Alzheimer's disease and related dementia (ADRD) neuropathologies. Her work aims to identify the most relevant pollutants and critical exposure windows.
