    The AAMC Building Better Curriculum webinar series is an opportunity for curriculum deans, leaders, administrators, teaching faculty, and staff to learn about and explore innovations in curriculum.

    Proposals for future Building Better Curriculum webinars can be sent to ci@aamc.org with the following details:

    • Presentation title
    • Speakers' names, titles, institutions
    • 2-3 learning objectives/goals for listeners of the presentation
    • Short description of the session (150 words or less)
    • Short description of the speaker(s)’ background (50 words or less each)

    This virtual collaborative learning series aims to raise awareness and take a deep-dive into a topic about how our transforming health care system is shaping health professions education. To learn more about this special series, email CurricularInnovation@aamc.org.

    Our special guest, Dr. George Thibault, will help to frame the new series based on his 2020 publication "The Future of Health Professions Education" describing major trends, including:

    • Interprofessional education including patient collaboration;
    • Longitudinal integrated clinical education;
    • Social determinants of health, including social and humanistic missions, anti-racism;
    • Continuum of health professions education including lifelong learning and wellbeing;
    • Competency-based education (CBE), including time variable mastery learning;
    • Integration of artificial intelligence and new technologies.
