GHLO Collaborative Payment Instructions

We are very pleased that your institution is ready to process payment for you to join Association of American Medical Colleges’ (AAMC)’s Global Health Learning Opportunities (GHLO) Collaborative!

Before initiating payment, please review the GHLO Collaborative fee and invoice thoroughly.  The GHLO fee may be paid using any one of the below payment methods.  Review the payment options and choose the one that is most convenient for your institution.

The wire transfer is our preferred method of payment. We ask that if you pay by wire, you do so through Western Union Business Solutions as described below. 

Benefits to using Western Union Business Solutions for your method of payment are:

·                    Your institution has the ability to pay in your own currency 


·                    There are no hidden fees by paying in your own currency 


·                    Your payment can be tracked 


·                    The fees are less expensive than by paying bank to bank or with a credit card 


 

Note:  Attempting to pay by wire through other methods may incur additional charges, which could result in your GHLO fee payment being less than the amount required and this will prolong the onboarding and renewal process.  To avoid a delay, please ensure the full payment amount is received by GHLO.

General instructions for all payment methods:

1. Wire transfer:

The Association of American Medical Colleges works with Western Union Business Solutions (WUBS), an online website, to provide international institutions an easy method for paying the GHLO Collaborative fee. This payment option allows you to pay in the currency of your choice and provides a simple and reliable way of initiating payments electronically.

In order to properly credit your account when wiring funds, please be sure to indicate AAMC-GHLO and the INVOICE NUMBER with wiring instructions. 

To initiate a wire payment through Western Union Business Solutions (WUBS):


  Step 1:  Go to Western Union Business / GlobalPay Website:

a)     Go to the GlobalPay for GHLO Collaborative Payment platform and fill in all fields:

1. Select Country

2. Input GHLO Collaborative Fee as indicated on the invoice.

3. Select the highlighted option.

4. Now complete the following information:

• Invoice Number

• Institution Name

• Bill to name


• Email address 


• Complete postal address

• Comments (if any)

5. Enter Payer's Bank Details.

6. Agree to the payment amount and accept terms and conditions.

b)      Download payment instructions from WUBS, which includes a reference number, as a PDF document. (You will need the reference number to complete your payment in Step 2.)

Step 2: Transfer funds to Western Union Business Solutions

• The downloaded payment instructions will tell you how to transfer funds through your personal bank or online.

• If you have your bank send the funds to Western Union Business Solutions, be sure that they include your reference number provided in the WUBS payment instructions.

 

Step 3: Western Union Business Solutions does the rest!  No further action is required by you.

• Using your reference number, Western Union Business Solutions will transfer your funds into your AAMC account.


• The transaction usually takes 2 to 5 business days to process after your local bank initiates payment to Western Union Business Solutions.

 

*For payments from certain countries, Western Union Business Solutions may refer the payer to a Western Union Business Solutions referral partner in that country who will provide a foreign exchange rate and process the payment for the payer. ** If your local currency is not available, please select an alternative currency or CAD option. You will receive all of the benefits listed above including no banking charges from AAMC or Western Union Business Solutions, quicker posting of payment, and fully referenced payments.

 

2. Credit / Debit Card:

The GHLO Collaborative accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit cards.  American Express is not accepted. To pay by card, call AAMC Member Services at 202-862-6239 to provide card details for payment. Hours of operation are 9:00 – 16:00 (Eastern Time Zone, United States), Monday – Friday, except US holidays.

Please note: when paying with a credit card, the charge will be referenced as AAMC on the billing statement.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.

Note: Payment processors may charge additional fees such as International transaction/ overseas fee.

3. Paper Check:

        GHLO accepts all paper checks in US dollars ONLY.
