To make informed care decisions, clinicians and patients need to compare and evaluate various treatment options. Comparative effectiveness research happening at AAMC member institutions supports this decision-making by enhancing the clinical information available about health interventions and care outcomes.
Through our work, the AAMC promotes both research and dissemination strategies for studying effective treatments and sharing evidence-based practices. Additionally, the AAMC supports efforts of federal government agencies and other organizations to advance knowledge and engagement in these areas.
